The Language Collective
Who are we?
We are a collective of Wesleyan faculty and staff who strongly believe that multilingual literacy is essential to developing culturally sensible citizens able to function in a global environment. As a result, we want to make the Wesleyan community at large more aware of the many benefits of foreign language study, and promote the study of foreign languages and cultures for students across divisions.
What do we do?
We meet twice a semester to decide and report on which Wesleyan entity to work with to help promote the study of foreign languages. We realize that many of our goals are long-term and therefore encourage anyone interested to contact us and join the Collective. Resources and minutes from past meetings are available on the Language Collective Moodle. If you need access, contact Thais García-Bagué.
